What is attitude...(and its contribution to our happiness)

Church of  mongcadista in Samal Island
ATTITUDE - is the way of thinking.
(Charles R Swindoll)
"The longer I live, the more I realize the impact of attitude on life. Attitude to me is more important than than facts. It is more important than the past, than education, than money, than circumstances, than failures, than successes that what other people think of, say or do. It is more important than appearance, giftedness or skill.
It will make or brake a company,a church, a home. The remarkable thing is we have a choice everyday regarding the attitude we will embrace for that day.
"We cannot change our past...we cannot change  the fact that people will act in a certain way. We cannot change the inevitable. The only thing we can do is play on the one string we have, and that is our attitude...Iam convinced that life is 10% what happens to me and 90% how I react to it. And so it is with you.. we are in charge of our attitudes"

ATTITUDES that leads to unhappiness
                        (according to Ed Lapiz)
      1.) Discontentment:
I Timothy 6:9 - People who want to get rich fall into temptation and a trap and into many foolish and    harmful desires.that plunge men into ruin and destruction.
   2.) Envy:
Proverbs 14:30 - Envy rots the bones.
   3.) Covetousness:
Exodus 14:30 - You shall not covet your neighbor's house. You shall not covet your neighbor's wife or his man servant, his ox or donkey or anything that belongs to your neighbor.
   4.) Greed:
Luke 12:15 - Jesus said to them, "Watch out! Be on your guard against all kinds of greed; a man's life does not consist in the abundance of his possessions.
5.) A negative and competitive attitude:
Ecclesiastes 4:4 - And I saw  that all labor and all achievement spring from man's envy of his neighbor this too is meaningless, a chasing after wind.
   6.) Pride:
Proverbs 11:12 - When Pride comes then comes disgrace.
7.) UN realistic and impractical standards.
Romans 6:19 - I'am speaking in the human terms because of your natural limitations.
8.) A disposition that attracts enemies, quarrels or troubles:
Proverbs 16:28 - a perverse man stirs up dissension, and a gossip separates close friends.
Proverbs 11:19 - With his mouth the godless destroys his neighbor.
Luke 6:41 - Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your  brother's eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye?
9.) Needless involvement in the lives of others:
1 Timothy 5:13 - Besides they get into the habit of  being idle and going about from house to house. And not only do they become idlers but also gossips and busybodies, saying things they ought not to.
Proverbs 22:26-27 - do not be a man who strikes hands in pledge or puts up security for debts; if you lack the means to pay, your very bed will be snatched from under you.
   10.) Sentimentalism:
Ecclesiastes 11:8 - However many years a man may live, let him enjoy hem all. But let him remember the days of darkness, for they will be many.
   11.) Over sensitivity:
Ephesians 6:10 - Finally, be strong in the Lord and his mighty power.
   12.) Over dependence on others:
1 Corinthians 6:19 - Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God?
Matthew 14:23 - after he had dismissed them, he went up in the  mountain side by himself to pray. When evening came, he was there alone.

"Alone is not being lonely when it means fellowship with the Spirit of God.Sometimes we need moments of aloneless so we wont neglect to develop and cultivate our personal relationship with God. Certain sadness could have been avoided with an enlightened, correct and disciplined attitude.
In many ways, happiness is a matter of attitude. don't just wish or pray for happiness. Attract it, achieve it and keep it through a happiness-friendly attitude."
